Prime Minister Boris Johnson has tested positive for COVID-19.

Downing street say his symptons are mild and that he is self isolating and will continue to lead the country's fight against COVID-19

The Prime Minister has tweeted "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positve for Coronavirus.
"I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government's response via video-conference as we fight this virus.

"Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."

Just a couple of hours after the news of the Prime Minister testing positive broke, it was also revealed that the Health Secreatry, Matt Hancock, had also tested positive for COVID-19.

In a further development, the Governement's Chief Medical Officer has also announced that he is self-isolating for 7-days in accordance with the guidance as he is suffering some symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

All three arer continunuing in their role at present whilst in self-isolation.
